Interesting site that helps artists promote themselves and build their businesses. Alyson knows her stuff, and she can help you greatly in designing a long term marketing plan, if you want to survive into the future in this business of art.

As the art market and art licensing business have grown so has the problems of infringement. This development is not surprising as crooks go wherever the money is to be found. An additional problem for those in the arts is the fragmented nature of the industry. Often when infringements are discovered they are not pursued because it is not cost effective or the infringers are far a field. To remedy the situation, industry leaders have come together and formed the Art Copyright Coalition (ACC). The ACC will unite disparate community members to go after infringers as a cohesive group; lowering costs and increasing likelihood of economically rewarding results. Battling counterfeiters is an expensive & difficult task for any single organization. Combining forces with reputable companies facing the same challenge will be more affordable and more effective than ever possible before.

This is a fine organization of artists who make their primary income from selling their creative work at art fairs. It's the BEST organization out there advocating for artists' rights and fair policies from the fair directors. I urge you to support their efforts on your behalf by becoming a member.
