The Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts is an arts education event of Lakewood Center for the Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts institution dedicated to providing arts education, performance and exhibition opportunities to the region. The Festival is a complete community event with a high profile that is reflective of the quality of living and working in Lake Oswego, an upscale suburb 15 minutes south of downtown Portland. People come from Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho and British Columbia to attend the event, which draws 22,000 to 25,000 annually. The Festival takes place at the Lakewood Center for the Arts and George Rogers Park, both on State Street in downtown Lake Oswego. In the park, you will find the Fine Arts Craft Faire, a juried show of 120 booths of fine arts and crafts, a delightful variety of foods, great jazz and musical entertainment on the main stage, Kids Day Activities, and ongoing demonstrations by the artisans of their craft. The Festival is cited by Sunset Magazine and the Regional Arts and Culture Council as one of the major events of the region.
