Organizer's Promotional Message
For over four decades, the award-winning Cain Park Arts Festival brings the work of hundreds of artists from across the country to Northeast Ohio. This free, three-day juried arts festival showcases artists whose mediums include wood, clay, glass, painting, jewelry, photography, sculpture, and more. Attendees can also enjoy live entertainment, an interactive mural painting for children of all ages, and a variety of food trucks and concessions.
Voted 2022 Best Arts Event in Cleveland by Cleveland Scene Magazine, the Cain Park Arts Festival has been consistently ranked among the top festivals in the country by the national professional artist magazine, Sunshine Artist.
The 2024 Cain Park Arts Festival is in part curated by the Festival Director: Northeast Ohio award-winning artist, George Kozmon. His work is represented in prestigious public and private collections including the Cleveland Museum of Art, (Cleveland, OH), the Akron Art Museum (Akron OH), Hyatt Regency (Cologne, Germany), IBM (Armonk, NY), the Butler Institute of American Art (Youngstown, OH), Astor Residence Hotel (London, England), and the Progressive Collection, (Cleveland OH).

The Cain Park Arts Festival takes place in a municipally owned and operated park in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. A diverse, progressive, vital suburb of Cleveland with nearly 50,000 residents, Cleveland Heights promotes an environment rich in the arts. Minutes from University Circle, Cleveland's cultural center, Cleveland Heights is a city of exceptional natural and architectural beauty where many artists and artisans call home.

Supplemental to the art exhibits, restaurant-quality food concessions and entertainment are set up away from the artist exhibit areas. The Festival is comprised of approximately 55% two-dimensional art, which includes painting, watercolors, hand-pulled prints and photography. The other 45% includes fine crafts in all categories. Signed and numbered digital or mechanical prints can be in one display bin in the artist's booth.

The jury panel consists of three visual arts professionals with evaluating experience. Jury choices are based exclusively on artistic merit as represented on the images submitted. No geographical, organizational or political criteria are employed in making selections. Every applicant, except the 2023 prizewinners, undergoes the same anonymous, critical evaluation by our jury.

2024 Arts Festival award winners are automatically accepted to the 2025 Festival.
However, they still must comply with all other requirements, fees and deadlines.

In addition to cash prizes for the top three artists, Judges' Selection and Director's Choice certificates will be awarded to approximately 20 additional artists and a special "Artist-to-Artist" award will be selected by a vote of participating artists.
Cain Park takes no percentage of artist sales.
Our energetic staff will assist with set-up and take-down, provide booth sitting and food pick-up and delivery. Accepted artists received a personalized booth sign, complimentary lunch on Friday and free coffee and donuts every morning.

Inadmissible work includes buy-sell art, imported art, workshop art or mass-produced items. Traditional craft items, work produced from dies, casts or molds and decorations on commercially produced products are also forbidden.
